Ah, The Bay Area’s late summers. Prolonged sunshine and warmth.

Given this week’s bout of rain and brisk weather, TNG Boston is finally ready to admit that summer has ended. But onward to autumn, or as I like to call it, Pumpkin Spice Latte status update season.

You had San Francisco Pride, now it’s time for Oakland Pride!

Now that we’ve weathered an earthquake, Irene, and the annual influx of college co-eds into the city, it’s time to kick back and relax over the long weekend, don’t you think? Complain all you want about the freshman and their families crowding the streets with Uhauls and Ikea furniture, at least Boston’s nightlife is going to have plenty of new faces this weekend.

School is back in session and it’s time to gear up, buckle down, buy those expensive -ass books, and get no sleep. Sounds like fun, huh?

Summer is lasting and we’ve featured things to do after your day is done or before your night has started (or for both).

TNG Boston is still in full-on summer mode with a pool party, a glittery dance night, and a day-long electronic music festival on the docket for this weekend. Don’t let anyone tell you that sweater season is just around the corner.
