I’ve always been a fan of Zach Rogue’s nominal band Rogue Wave, so I was excited to hear what on earth a solo-project move from an all-but-solo project might entail.

What we get, I’m glad to report, is something charmingly comfortable – something to hug. With melodies that are like leaves folded in an old book, forgotten, then returned to, much later: familiar and yet something new.

The year is half over so take a glimpse of the best ten records of 2011 so far.

Welcome to 2011! I have been MIA with a music round-up so here is the first for the year-whoo!. There were a lot of good records I didn’t review last year and already 3 weeks into 2011 there have been some stellar releases. Today I am going to try something different. I am going to only use 140 characters Twitter style to describe the album (You know the “Recommended” part).
