Hi! I'm your friendly TNG Houston editor. Always looking for Houston events/stories for the local section.

About me? Here's the condensed version: Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida - grew up there - went to college there -then toured the U.S. in search of the perfect Long Island Iced Tea. (Turns out you can't get anything close to good west of the Mississippi.)

Landed (pun intended) in Houston in 2004 to fly airplanes for our local airline. I resisted becoming a "Texan" but Houston is now home, y'all.

I'm currently taking a break from the flying to go to law school. I sling drinks and write for TNG on the side for fun!

Houston Weekend Preview: Mad Hatter Edition

Wednesday nights in Houston are almost always interesting. I’ve never really known why this is the case, but something weird always happens on Wednesdays. Take this past Wednesday for example: I went out to Guava Lamp and had a few drinks with some friends. Nothing big. Then, around 12:30am, I decided to go home. As I was leaving the bar, I ran into Nikki Snelson, and the following exchange ensued:

Houston Weekend Preview: Cheap (and Trashy) Edition

I don’t know about you, but I’m on a budget! These are tough economic times and cutbacks have become the norm. For example: I had to get rid of my Cheesecake of the Month membership. Yes, it’s that bad! So while I clip coupons and take oversize handbags to smuggle excess General Tso’s chicken out of my local Chinese buffet, I always keep an eye out for free (but massively entertaining) events. This weekend is teeming with free. From drag superstars to garbage-turned-art, you’ll have plenty to keep your mind off your overdue light bill.
