A day doesn’t go by that I don’t witness something strange, but one of the strangest things I’ve witnessed on the Metro was a woman clipping her toe nails.
I saw a big group of middle school girls all switching their shoes on the metro, so they’d be mismatched. It was kinda cute, kinda annoying because they were also screaming about it.
I saw a transvestite walk of shaming on the Pacific Northwest line in NY. She had on a little black dress and her hair and makeup was a wreck, and some people were giggling when she walked by, but every time she’d say something sassy to them like “as if YOU should be laughing, with that face!”
This homophobe got on the Metro (in DC) and started preaching against homosexuality being against nature, God, etc. So I, announcing myself as a proud bisexual AND Christian who had an awesome relationship with God — and knew he loved/loves us all — started singing “Amazing Grace”. Pretty soon almost everyone else in the train started singing along with me. It was epic! (Not necessarily strange — and it could have turned nasty — but I’m glad I did it! :) )
