New to the DC Rollergirls? Here’s a brief DCRG Championship history:
For the first four seasons, the DCRG Championship Trophy has rested in the hands of either the DC DemonCats or Scare Force One.
Scare Force One owned the trophy for the first two seasons, but had to hand it over at the end of the third season. After several retirements at the end of Season 2, their mostly rookie team failed to qualify for the Championship Bout after falling to the Cherry Blossom Bombshells in an exciting, down-to-the-wire, double-overtime match. However, the DemonCats of Season 3 were on fire, and took the trophy home after an intense bout against the Bombshells in the DCRG Championship.
The Fright Attendants came back in Season 4 with intense training and a focus on strengthening their team, and made it back to the championships with just one regular-season loss to their name. But as hard Scare Force fought, they were not able to pry the trophy from the Cats’ claws, and the DemonCats matched the Fright Attendants’ championship-winning record.
Now it’s all on the line—who will emerge as three-time league champions? Season 5 has been a decisive one for Scare Force, as they’ve rolled through five regular-season bouts undefeated. But the DemonCats have kept the trophy for two seasons now, and are primed to defend it. Will Scare Force be able to continue their momentum into the Championship, or will the black cats cross their path once again?
There’s only one way to find out: Be at the Armory on May 14 to witness DC Rollergirls history in the making!
WHICH SIDE WILL YOU FIGHT FOR?”
