Vanguard Magazine Release

You’re invited to the release of the new Vanguard Magazine. The GLBT Historical Society and Larkin Street Youth Services worked together to empower homeless queer youth to talk about their issues and to interact with the history of GLBT homeless youth from 60′s. Join Megan Rohrer, Joey Plaster and the youth on February 3rd from 7-9 pm to an interactive arts happening where you will meet the youth and learn more about the issues of homeless youth in San Francisco.

The Oakland Standard | Launch Party
Enter the Oakland Standard- experiments in work and play by the Oakland Museum of California.
The party goes into the late hours with DJ Mia Moretti, an Oakland native and fashion industry favorite considered by the New York Times and PAPER magazine as the “it” DJ to see. Beer and tacos provided by OMCA’s own Blue Oak café.

Poster Sale @ Mama Buzz
Celebrate Black History Month by purchasing vintage posters and historial moments of the Black Panther Party’s news articles and headlines. The poster sell is to help raise money for the Lil Bobby Hutton Literacy Program and will be starting February 4, First Friday at the Oakland Art Murmur until February 28th.

Black History Month Kick Off Party & Happy Hour
This Saturday Black History Month jumps off at 6pm with a potluck happy hour hosted by everyone’s favorite bartender Kamar freaturing great old school music, community and resource info. Then get the party started @ Club Rimshot, Northern California’s hip-hop and R&B headquarters.
