TNG TV: Hot Queer Band Alert – Tayisha Busay

This post was submitted by Zack Rosen

Though they hail from Brooklyn (because they are, after all, an indie band) Tayisha Busay has carved themselves a nice presence in DC as well. And that’s my city’s gain because this band is incredible. The three queer-identified (and lets be honest, bangable) musicians make the kind of fun, sex-infused music that is always enjoyable, and has enough of a sense of humor to differentiate them from something you’d watch once on Funny or Die and forget about later. Songs like “WTF You Doing In My Mouth” are notable on their own, but take on an added dimension when you see them live. These three can put on a mean show, due to considerable musical talent combined with insane choreography that will make you either want to dance or touch yourself.

The trio are gearing up for a pair of NYC-area dates (listed below) so I thought this would be a good time for you to check ‘em out.

(and yes, there is a lot of background noise in this interview. We were having trouble finding a place to do the taping and the one we settled on wasn’t as quiet as I thought. Sorry about that.)
