TNG was lucky enough to premiere the new video by NYC electroglam outfit Naked Highway. Gay frontman Sy Boccari gave us this statement about the video, if you can still focus on words after watching it.

“Pussy Police” was an interesting song to create from start to finish. My songwriting partner BNS came up with the music and I wrote the lyrics. In fact, I wrote three sets of lyrics, none of which seemed to work. Then BNS and I went out one night, trying to pick up chicks for him at gay bars (BNS is straight). This particular night, I scouted several girls who were totally his type and he was like, “Damn Sy, you is like the Pussy Police!” and the song pretty much wrote itself.

Musically, the song is very reminiscent of a James bond theme song, and for some reason, got me thinking of the late photographer Davide Sorrenti. My buddy Josh Nece, also a photographer, understood the look I wanted and was the perfect subject for the video. Nearly all Naked Highway videos have been pretty high-concept up to this point, and we just wanted a video that was like, “hey, look at this hot mysterious guy while listening to this hot mysterious song!” The ironic part is that Josh and I were all giggles and alcohol during the shoot, so what’s left on the cutting room floor is pretty hilarious, but I think I succeeded in creating something simple, dark and sexy.
