Like Fountains of Wayne before them (well, early FOW), NYC’s We Are Scientists mix ol’ fashioned hooky rock with a well-developed sense of humor. Their newest album Barbara finds them in good form, further sublimating the hooky, guitar driven rock of 2008′s Brain Thrust Mastery and their 2005 debut.
Vocalist and all-around adorable guy Keith Murray was nice enough to give TNG a couple minutes of his time, and to let me muss up his hair. Check it out.
And it’s not embedable, but I reccomend the Brokeback-themed “Chick Lit” and their newest single, “Rules Don’t Stop.”
