Nomi Ruiz, besides being the most beautiful woman in the world, is cool enough to have voiced seminal dance act Hercules and Love Affair and her new band Jessica 6. She gave The New Gay a few moments of her time… and yes, we’re in a furnace room. It was actually the quietest room in the club.
Ms. Ruiz was kind enough to open up about musical inspirations, her trans fanbase, and what kind of attention she’s gotten from the queer press. I really think Nomi has the talent and stage presence to be a really big thing soon, and I’m psyched to say we interviewed her when.
