Chris Pureka proves that magic can happen anywhere. The queer Northampton-born musician was nice enough to give TNG a couple minutes of her time in the concrete patio behind Iota Club, one of Arlington VA’s rare bastions of indie. This track, “Landlocked,” and “Song for November” (below) show off Pureka’s tight instrumentation and gorgeous lilt. It’s from the album “Learning to See in The Dark,” which is also highly recommended.
