Washington DC: Tonight: MLB Protest

This post was submitted by John "Jolly" Bavoso

Event Details: Tonight: MLB Protest - Nationals Park: Friday, June 18

In response to Arizona’s controversial immigration law, cities, artists, and hundreds of organizations around the country are urging MLB to take a stand and move the 2011 All-Star Game out of Arizona, similar to the National Football League’s decision to relocate the 1993 Super Bowl from Arizona over its refusal to recognize the MLK, Jr. holiday.

Tonight, protesters will gather to call on MLB to support the players and move the 2011 All-Star Game out of Arizona, and put continued pressure on the Obama Administration to take federal action.

Details:

Friday, June 18
Nationals Park
Outside of the Center field gate on N Street
5:00 p.m.
