Song of the Day: Florrie, “Call 911 (Fred Falke Extended Remix)”

Fred Falke + Florrie

What do Kylie Minouge, Girls Aloud, The pet Shop Boys and Mini Viva have in common? They were all produced by the powerhouse group Xenomania. Xenomania are a full on production unit, who write arrange and produce tracks for pop stars and almost everything they put out is brilliant. Florrie is an up and coming artist, but she is also the drummer in the Xenomania house band. She is still unsigned, and unlike artist going in for the cash grab, she is happy giving her tracks away for free! Today’s song is her first single, that was released in February (yes I’m late to this game) “Call 911 (Fred Falke Extended Mix).” The track was co-written and remixed my favorite DJ, Fred Falke. The track takes on much of Falke’s style, mixing classic elements of disco with newer electro music. Florrie’s closest vocal comparison is Annie (who Florrie also has played with), but it isn’t a bad thing. If you need more electro bangers in your life, this will certainly do the trick.
