Straight out of New Brunswick, New Jersey, the punk trio Screaming Females are both a cult favorite and high profile have toured with such popular acts as Dead Weather and Arctic Monkeys. Made up of lesbian frontwoman/guitar goddess Marisa Paternoster, drummer Jarrett Dougherty and “King Mike” who plays bass, the trio is currently supporting Ted Leo’s ongoing tour. On the heels of 2009′s Power Move LP, they sound off on Mr. Leo, what makes punks so nice and Marissa’s feelings on Joan Jett.

Ugh. Talk about bad headers. Anyway, I love this group and they’re wicked live, so it’s good seeing them get some TNG press.
Ok… And what does her sexual preference has to do with the quality of their music?
Awesome band. Live and studio. Had the pleasure of opening for them in Puerto Rico.
