Back by popular demand, the girls of Courtney Cruz’s Devil’s Playground return to the Music Box at the Henry Fonda (6126 Hollywood Blvd) to bring you Star Warz Burlesque.
Courtney Cruz’s burlesque troupe is one of the most creative in the business. In the past, they brought us shows with themes like Video Game Vixens (featuring the hottest Princess Peach you’ve ever seen: long intro, then the clip) and comic book heroines. They did service to the George Lucas series a few months ago to such a great reception that they are back for more.
Of course, you’ll see a sexy Princess Leia. But that wouldn’t be much of a challenge for a burlesque artist. No, these girls bring out the sensual side of the nameless stormtrooper, the seductive androgyny of C3PO, and the curvaceous comelines of Jabba. Yes, Jabba.
