This Wednesday was a really important moment in Gay comics history. Two gay superheroes, Rictor and Shatterstar from X-Factor, finally kissed (after years of having only an implied relationship) and rocked the comic book world. In honor of homosexuality becoming more commonplace in the comic book medium, here are the 10 most important LGBT moments in comic book history.

The toilet-paper letter from the lesbian in the neighboring cell to V in “V For Vendetta” should have totally been on that list.
I’m just saying.
It was published in the ’80′s and showed the extreme treatment of homosexuals by society and the government.
Great share michael… brought me back to the old days, i still have my Image comics somewhere around here. I always thought Savage Dragon was super hot even though he was green and had a fin… or maybe it was because he was green and had a fin… who knows. Loved this.
