Washington DC: Ticket Giveaway: Win Tickets to See The Screaming Females @ Black Cat
New Jersey’s Screaming Females are one hell of band. Fronted by the 5’2” Marissa Paternoster, a queer woman who can play guitar better than most in the musical landscape. The band is a mix of punk rock with classic rock shredding and a hell of a lot of power. Screaming Females have caught the ears of many taste-makers, and even got to perform on MTV’s “It’s On With Alexa Chung.” The band has toured with many acts including the Dead Weather, and they even scored a spot opening for the Arctic Monkeys (which I saw, and they absolutely killed).The band is currently on tour promoting their record, Power Move, with Nashville’s Jeff the Brotherhood. Oh and did i mention Marissa is really attractive?
