The New Beverly Cinema (7165 W Beverly Blvd) will be showing The Last American Virgin at midnight.
This is a classic and underappreciated 80s teenage sex-farce. The plot is simple: Gary wants to lose his virginity. The hihinks are amazing. I have no idea why this movie is less well known than Better Off Dead or Porky’s but it deserves more attention than it gets. This movie was the basis for Jason Priestly’s faux teenage sex comedy Hot Pants College 2 in Love and Death in Long Island.
But wait! Not only do you get a chance to see this movie on the big screen, but you also get a Q&A with some of the stars, including Karen (Diane Franklin) and Gary (Lawrence Monoson).
