Song of the Day: Free Energy, “Hope Child”

This post was submitted by Rohan

Philly’s Free Energy is a favorite here in TNG Land. Zack has repped them in the past, and we are all lucky as they are ready to release their debut record Stuck On Nothing produced by the one and only Mr. LCD Soundsystem, James Murphy. The album is full of Cheap Trick power-pop gems, guitar solos, cowbell, and a feel that is unlike anything really going on in the scene right now. Though he band has been coasting on tracks from their EP, today’s song of the day, “Hope Child” comes from their debut. It is a mid-tempo track toward the end of the record, but is a crowd pleasure for sure.
