Weekend Preview: DC Weekend Preview: No More Snow! Edition
Event Details: DC Weekend Preview: No More Snow! Edition - :
As a child growing up in New York, I used to unconditionally love the snow. The past few months, however, have helped to confirm what I’ve been fearing for awhile: I’m becoming an actual adult. One of the big signs of this transformation is that every time the forecast has called for snow this winter (which is been, like, DAILY), my first reaction has not been one of child-like glee and anticipation, but instead more of a grunt accompanied by a mumble along the lines of “ugh, it’s going to be a pain to get to the bus stop in the morning.” It hasn’t helped at all that the snow keeps coming on the weekend, ruining my plans, rather than during the week, which would allow me to work from home in my pajamas. Those willing to brave the snow in DC this weekend, however, will be rewarded with a number of fine events around our nation’s capital. Read on for more info on a few of them.
As always, if you know of an event coming up that you think your fellow TNG readers might enjoy, send the details to events@thenewgay.net and/or leave them in the comments below and we’ll get them on the calendar ASAP. And don’t forget, you can always find out about all kinds of DC-related events and stories by following the TNGDC Twitter feed.

UPDATE:
From Studio H:

Stupid snow…
RAW is still on! But we’re ditching the $3 cover. Give a dollar to each of our go-go dancers instead. See you tonight at the Green Lantern. 10 PM.
UPDATE:
From DJ Dredd:
“Due to the impending snowstorm this show has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 18. All February 5 tickets will be honored.”
I’m starting to feel like the crawl screen on the bottom of the local news…
BackDoor is still on and popping too
