Are you saying that Obama is acting randomly in how he picks gay initiatives to tackle?
I’d say he looks for the lowest hanging fruit, then drags out the debate unnecessarily until something widely supported becomes controversial and ultimately fails.
I’d agree with you that DADT was an easy mention since congress and the military already have talks in the works for the coming year. But I think that Obama cared more about squelching discontent about his perceived silence than he did about a particular issue–a little too political, expedient, and yes, arbitrary.
