Last night, the incomparable Miss Mariah Carey’s Angels’ Advocate Tour stopped here in DC. But I couldn’t go, because it sold out too fast, and instead of spending a rapturous evening in the arms of my Imperfect Angel, I had to sit around and listen to stupid Obama. :’( (OK, I guess it wasn’t that bad.) Well, saints be praised, because I got a little sweet sunshine to cure my blues today in the form of a new Mimi video! It’s called “Up Out My Face,” it features newcomer Nicki Menaj, and y’all it is fabulous! Now, I’m not gonna sit here and that this is her finest work ever, but if in three hours you don’t still find yourself singing the hook and doing something sassy with your fingers or your hand, then you are simply a robot.

Rumors that Mariah Carey might be pregnant is everywhere. I hope she and Nick can start a family soon. Im so happy for you both.
