I’m not kidding when I say that this week has felt DECADES long. But it’s finally over and it’s time to enjoy the last few holiday parties of the year. And since I’m currently too exhausted from my epic week to be clever, in plain language: here’s what you missed on TNG this week.
In Commentary
- Jean, Not Your Average Prom Queen, answers an oh-so-common question about gay sex.
- Levi’s in a bind this week in The Adventures of the Boi Wonder.
- Guess what, gossip magazines? It’s not cool to describe an engagement between two women as an “engagement” no matter what. Check it out In The Ladies’ Room.
- When a co-worker is checking you out big time, and you’re just not that into him, what do you do? Michael ponders this in Out at Work, Part 3: The Hard Cruise. Which sounds wonderfully like an action movie, as well.
In Arts
- The Indie Rock Fag, Zack, highlighted some of the best queer songs of ’09.
- Continuing the countdown trend, Rohan is counting the best albums of ’09 in Driveway to Driveway, Drunk.
- Check out this week’s featured photographer, royomar.
- Forget the big blockbusters. John tells us about his favorite Christmas movie in Cinespastic
In Culture/Politics
- Guess what, Round 2? Transphobia in Seventeen magazine is not oka. Hannah gives us the details on their transphobic article.
- YAY! We can get married in D.C.!
- Arthur explains why former-Kansas City Chiefs player and homophobic-remark-maker, Larry Johnson, doesn’t offend him.
- What exactly is geekery? Jack looks to define it in this week’s Gay Geekery.
- This week, Jolly looks at poetography in Global Gaze.
- Feeling like volunteering on Christmas in the D.C. area? Here’s how you can: Merry Charity, DC.
In Events
And as, always, what to do in TNG cities around the country: DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston.
