Merry Christmas, bitches. I’m going out of town this week, so I leave you with a week-long (albeit brief) event guide to get you through the holiday doldrums. And then next week, I’ll highlight a few New Years events to tide you through the rest of the year. Until then, don’t get too loaded on the egg nog.

Tonight

• Do or Die Monday @ The Mix. The Mix is dedicating its weekly Gong Show Fundraiser to raise money for repealing Prop 8. All December long, proceeds from the event will go towards Restore Equality 2010. You’ll also have a chance to win tickets to a U2 concert in June. David Hawkins is the host for the evening. Details: Starts at 6 PM at The Mix on 4086 18th Street and Castro.

Tuesday

• Parker’s Xmas Craptacular @ The Make-out Room. Host, Parker, has assembled a long list of performers to ring in a craptastic Christmas holiday. Notable musicians include Jonathan Richman, Mark Eitzel and Carletta Sue Kay. Check out the website for a complete line-up. Parker also asks that you bring a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank and to “dress like you are going to court or a funeral for Santa.” Details: Doors open at 6:30 PM, $10 cover at the Make-Out Room on 3225 22nd Street.

Saturday

• Go Bang! Atomic Dancefloor Disco Action @ Deco Lounge. Burn off the Christmas calories on the danceflo. This monthly gay disco party features original Trocadero Transfer DJ, Steve Fabus, as well as Chilidog, aka DJ Bearded Lady, aka Stanley Frank. Details: Doors open at 9 PM, $5 cover or free before 10 PM at Deco Lounge on 510 Larkin Street and Turk.

Sunday

• AIDS Life Cycle 9 Beer Bust @ The Eagle Tavern. The Eagle Tavern’s famed Sunday beer bust is sponsored by AIDS Life Cycle (ALC) 9. The event will include raffles for Off Ramp Leathers gear and a housecleaning package. All proceeds will go to ALC 9. Details: The beer bust runs from 3-6 PM, usually a $10 charge for all ya can drink Miller High Life at The Eagle Tavern on 398 12th Street and Harrison.
