The short on/off ramps speak of a simpler time. The weird bridges, the curves. The stretch from downtown to Pasadena is fascinating. It's a little less interesting south of downtown, but things like the carpool lanes and bus routes spice it up a bit. (Plus that weird, triangular over pass near USC.) The 110 is my favorite freeway.
