While English indie musician Max Tundra’s composition usually involve several instruments and a good deal of electronics, he was nice enough to strip his 2002 single “Lysine” down to its bare essentials when we asked if he would give us a performance for TNG TV. Even better, he also agreed to do said performance on the roof deck at Nellie’s, a gay sports bar in DC’s U Street neighborhood. It was a chilly November night and we were outdoors, and yet Max still found his voice and fingers working nimbly enough to knock out the ditty you see here. Thanks, Max! And lets all keep our fingers crossed that this will help usher in a renaissance of quality artists performing at gay bars.

Mr. Toop (1:56) would be proud! Great tune, even without the punchy drum breaks.
