Hey Jolly! I studied at Cambridge too! It was the best four months of my life. I lived in Gonville and Caius College right across from Great St. Mary’s. If I ever had the opportunity to go back I would in a heart beat. I really hope that I can get my post-doctoral degree there in about 4 years. It’s my dream. The nightlife, the arts scene, the ADC Theatre, the market. It’s the best town in the world. And only an hour away from London by train. I want to go back so bad! We’ll see. Have to make it through grad school first :) Did you ever eat at franks? I’d give anything for another one for another one of those greasy chicken kebabs again…oh Cambridge, how I miss you!

Amsterdam didn’t even get an honorable mention? I attended my first gay pride event in Amsterdam; absolutely wonderful city.

I have to say, I love where I’m living right now (Annapolis), but my dream place would be Oxford, England. I spent a year abroad there as an undergraduate, and fell in love with the city, the culture, the people, and the university. There’s the added bonus that Europe is easily to get to from England, and the whole continent is (for the most part) a lot more gay-friendly than the US. In fact, if I didn’t have to worry about money or gainful employment,I’d move back to Oxford in a heartbeat.
