Event Details: DC Weekend Preview: Yo Gobble Gobble! Edition - :

HandTurkeyHappy Thursday Wednesday, TNG-loving DC-ites! That’s right, we’re bumping up the Weekend Preview this week in honor of the holiday (and the fact that we’re all taking off tomorrow and Friday). While most of us are fleeing (yeah, Amtrak!) the District for the long weekend, for those still in town or those that will be leaving home as soon as the pumpkin pie is finished, there will still be some events going on to help you burn off that gravy and celebrate having moved far, far away from your family.Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

As always, if you know of an event coming up that you think your fellow TNG readers might enjoy, send the details to events@thenewgay.net and/or leave them in the comments below and we’ll throw them up on the calendar ASAP. And don’t forget, you can always find out about all kinds of DC-related events and stories by following the TNGDC Twitter feed.

Tonight

Friday

  • Celebrate the long weekend and being free from all familial obligations with TNG and DJ Shea Van Horn at our Thanksgiving edition of Homo/Sonic at the Black Cat. Details: The Black Cat, 1811 14th St NW, 9:30 p.m. – 3:00 a.m., All Ages, $10.

Saturday

  • Join DJ Will Eastman for a very special BLISS dance party celebrating the release of his new single, “Feelin’”, at the Black Cat. Details: The Black Cat, 1811 14th Street, NW, 9:30 p.m., All Ages, $8.
  • Still haven’t danced off all those Turkey Day calories. Well then check yet another dance party, SHIFT at Cobalt. Details: Cobalt, 1639 R Street, NW, 10:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m., 21+, Free until 10:30 p.m.; $5 after.
