Event Details: 11/10: Gettin' That Veteran's Day Hangover - :

Veteran’s Day is this Wednesday, November 11, and let’s face it: holidays like this– especially when they fall in the middle of the week– are meant for partying all night beforehand. So for those of you who have Wednesday off (me!), here are a handful of events going on Tuesday night that are worth checking out.

Tuesday

  • Pixies @ Fox Theater. If you read my last Weekend Preview, then you know that the Pixies are in town. You’ll also know their Sunday and Monday shows were sold out. Hopefully you reserved your tickets for their final show on Tuesday night. If you didn’t, well… I guess you’re shit outta luck. That’s why you need to be reading TNG’s event previews… Details: Show starts at 8 PM; tickets are $64.50 at The Fox Theater on 1807 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland.
  • Chilidog Disco @ The Triple Crown. Join Stanley Frank for his weekly disco debauchery. I mean seriously, unless you’re an out-of-work hipster or you have a retail job (which, you know, might very well be all of you), when will you have another chance to party on a Tuesday night? Do it here. Details: The beats start at 10 PM at The Triple Crown on 1760 Market Street.
  • TransAm Injection @ The Stud Bar. Former porn pup, Michael Soldier, has enlisted the help of TransAm party promoters to bring Injection to the weekly Bulb Club party hosted by The Stud Bar. Typical TransAm hijinks including DJ Dirty Knees, Andy San Francisco, drag and burlesque. Oh, and a psychic. If TransAm can bring half the “rock n’ roll disco faggotry” of the old parties, then I’m there. For the psychic! Details: The partying starts at 11 PM, $8 cover at the Stud Bar on 399 9th Street and Harrison.

Have at it, folks. And remember to salute the troops on Wednesday!
