I’m sick. Just about everyone I know in Tampa is sick. And, it seems to be due to the weather change. For the first time in months, it isn’t unbearably hot outside. So, enjoy the weather, if you can, and for everyone else, have a nice weekend in your safe, comfy, warm beds.
Friday
- Check out Rude Squad at The Orpheum. The band will be performing with Burning Tree, A.A. Dropouts, and Ago Decorus. Details: The Orpheum, 1902 N. Avenida Republica De Cuba, Ybor, 6 p.m.
Saturday
- Discover the best Ybor has to offer, from its Farmer’s Market to local galleries at the Ybor City Art Walk. While you’re there, enjoy Square One Rocks, with free art and entertainment at The Ritz. Details: The Ritz Ybor, 1503 East 7th Avenue, Ybor, 12 p.m., Free.
Sunday
- Thrash out to GWAR, Job for a Cowboy, and The Red Chord tonight at The Ritz. GWAR, an intergalactic metal band complete with an out of this world stage presence, has been a favorite of mine for more than a decade. Details: The Ritz Ybor, 1503 East 7th Avenue, Ybor, 8 p.m., $19.
