Song of the Day: Nouvelle Vague, “Master and Servant.”

Continuing my series of SOTD selections that are speciously related to this weekend’s National Equality March is French band Nouvelle Vague‘s loungey cover of Depeche Modes “Master and Servant.” Just as the March this weekend will be about taking the existing state of gay rights and making them something new, so does this cover take a classically dark look at BDSM relationships and make it light and breezy as fisting a receptive young blonde boy on a May afternoon. Ok, so this hardly relates to The March at all but its pretty catchy. Give me a break, alright?

Nouvelle Vague release their album “3″ on October 20th. This track will be on it.
