TNG TV: Headlights Perform “TV” Just For Us
On May 30th 2008, something really good happened to me at the same time as something mildly bad. I moved into my boyfriend’s apartment, which I still count as one of the better decisions I’ve made in the past ten years. However, all the unpacking caused me to miss a performance by Champaign, IL indiepop band Headlights. Their sophomore album Some Racing, Some Stopping had hooked me with its song “Cherry Tulips” (and several others) and I was really sad to have missed them.
But God doesn’t close a door without waiting nearly 18 months to open a window, and I had the good luck to get some time with the band this past Sunday at DC9. They are touring behind their great new album Wildlife and were nice enough to give TNG a performance of an older song of theirs called “TV.”
