Hello, TNG readers! I’m not sure what’s going on this weekend, but there are lots of events happening in our fair District, including a couple of weekend-long ones. I’ll actually be out of town for the next few days, so you’ll all have to check out as many as possible and report back to me on Monday!

All Weekend
- Brightest Young Things and LA-based comedian Tig Notaro (pictured) are teaming up to bring DC the Bentzen Ball, a comedy festival, this weekend. Shows will be taking place up and down the U Street corridor and 14th Street. You can check out the full line up and schedule of events on their website.
- Celebrate tradition Indian dance with a modern twist this Friday and Saturday as Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh Dance Company presents the 6th Annual Fall Festival of Indian Arts at Lincoln Theater. There will be three performances, each one opened Dakshina Dance Company and followed by a featured artist from India.
Tonight
- DJs TMY (Tommy Cornelis) and Shea Van Horn debut their new monthly Thursday night party, Maison, featuring the best in French house and electro music, in the basement of Napoleon Bistro Lounge in Adams Morgan tonight. Friday
- Join Qwest Films for a special screening of the new lesbian film Finding Juliet, accompanied by a live music soundtrack performance by Jette Kelly and a three-course meal before the film. - Help artist Jessica Vaughn kick off her latest exhibition, Toppled, at the Stamp Gallery at the University of Maryland with an opening reception and artist talk. Saturday
- Attend the AVODAH-AJWS Partnership and Greater Washington Interfaith Power & Light’s Shabbat lunch and learn about the connections between Judaism, hunger and climate change before joining a climate change march. Details: The Festival Center, 1640 Columbia Rd NW, 12:00 p.m., $10, You can RSVP and register for lunch online.
- Do your part to help end hunger in the District by attending the launch party for DC Food For All, a new blog about working to expand access to healthy and affordable food for all DC residents. Delicious local food, music, and drink will be provided, with all donations will go to the DC Food Finder, a mapping application of food resources in DC. Details: Big Bear Cafe, 1st and R Streets, NW, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., $15 suggested donation.
- BLISS dance party returns to the Black Cat this weekend with DJ Will Eastman and special guests Johnny Blaze and T.T. the Arti$t. Details: Black Cat Backstage, 1811 14th Street (@ S Street), 9:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., 18+, $8.
