The 2009 “Thank GLAAD It’s Friday” (TGIF) networking series kicks off this weekend as thousands of LGBT individuals, allies and supporters gather from all across the country to march for LGBT equality. GLAAD is proud to join the organizers of the National Equality March and will be supporting their efforts by conducting media trainings leading up to, and during, the weekend of this historic event.
TGIF helps GLAAD build the public support necessary to achieve full and lasting equality for LGBT people. This exciting networking series allows LGBT professionals to meet and interact with like-minded individuals, and engage in GLAAD’s important work as the only national media advocacy and anti-defamation organization for the LGBT community.
On the eve of the National Equality March, join GLAAD, Absolut and hundreds of friends for a night of networking, cocktails and information on how GLAAD is working to amplify the voice of our community.
