Queer Berlin-based artist Noisy Pig will be playing the Velvet Lounge this Saturday night.

Noisy Pig is the electro-pop alter ego of Bernardo Santarelli, the Berlin based musical performer. Originally from Italy, his passion for music began when he bought his first Bikini Kill record. Four years after forming no-wave band Dada Swing, Noisy Pig moved from Rome to Berlin in 2004. He continues to subvert indie pop in his adopted hometown.

Noisy Pig developed his unique blend of bubblegum-glitch-pop-dance punk while playing in many underground queer venues and collaborating with fringe artists like Stereo Total and Hawnay Troof. He has toured extensively throughout Europe sharing the stage with Deerhoof, Erase Errata, The Blow, Yacht, Dan Deacon and many more. He is also a co- organizer and resident DJ of Poopsy Club, an event deemed “Berlin’s funniest queer party.” His debut self-titled album is out now on Cochon Records.
