Event Details: 10/10 - DC's Different Drummers Presents Songs of Hope and Equality @ Sidney Harman Hall - :

CPSB_WAD_09The Capitol Pride Symphonic Band, part of DC’s Different Drummers (DCDD), will perform this Saturday at Sidney Harman Hall, home of the Shakespeare Theatre Company.

The concert, Songs of Hope and Equality, will feature music by John Phillip Sousa, Leonard Bernstein, and others under the direction of Joe Bello and guest conductor Brian Worsdale, artistic director of the Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps in New York City. The concert will also feature guest soloist and winner of the DCDD concerto contest, saxophonist Nathan Nickens.

Tickets can be purchased online. Or, if you’re attending Reel Affirmations, One in Ten is offering an opening night ticket package.

Join DCDD as they celebrate their 29th year of bringing music to the DC metro area.
