Song of The Day: Clare and The Reasons, “Ooh You Hurt Me So.”

I can be so predictable. I like my beer cold, my TV loud, my men hairy and my indie rock jangly, melodic and with slight accents of a sweeter (yet fraught) era. So I obviously went crazy in a quiet way for the rainy day croon of Brookyn-based Clare and The Reasons. Their song “Ooh You Hurt Me So,” off the October 20th sophomore album Arrow, has already seen three spins through my iTunes and I only downloaded it 10 minutes ago. Don’t the germans have a name for when someone else’s hurt is your pleasure? I think its called “SchaudenClare.”
