Your Morning Upper: Fisting for America

As the bloom begins to fall off the Obama presidency’s rose, I’ve been looking back to simpler times. Times when strangers would yell “Obama” at my boyfriend and I as we held hands on the street. Times when there was no doubt as to the country of our president’s birth. Mostly, though, times when someone could mistake a fist bump for a much messier act and it would still seem hopeful. Obama and Michelle- next time you fist, you’ll be fisting for America.
