Thank god for our parents record collections. Though the amount of impressionable minds that were shaped by beat up copies of Byrds and Donovan LPs is uncountable, they certainly include Philadelphia band Brown Recluse. As low key as its namesake, but much less poisonous, there song “Contour and Context” from their upcoming EP “The Soft Skin” contains enough pretty harmonies and happy horns to draw me right into the band’s web.
