- Don’t miss the second evening of a fantastic 2009 Twilight Concert Series line-up on 7/16. The Black Keyes and Human Highway will perform for at Gallivan Center for a FREE evening of entertainment. - For country western in Salt Lake City, there’s no place like Cowboy Ramble at the Woodshed, featuring the Band of Annuals. Join this “Indie Folk-Twangy Pop” sextet and other fellow Salt Lake acts for a night of old country covers. Sadly, it will cease its run after this showing. - What in blazes is going on in Iran? The Middle East Center at the University of Utah presents a lecture by independent scholar and former professor Farideh Farhi to help the public make sense of current events there. - Support local businesses and celebrate sustainable living by attending the Downtown Farmers’ Market/Art and Craft Market. Over 250 vendors will be at Pioneer Park for the event. - If the skies are clear on Wednesday night, head up to the South Physics Bldg at the University of Utah for a Star Party.
