Remember 120 Minutes? I have no idea if MTV still plays its Sunday night alternative music block, nor do I want to know. I would be way too crushed if this bastion of my adolescent TV schedule, which introduced me to bands as widespread as The Shins, Massive Attack and Dead Milkmen, either no longer existed or has turned into a showcase for rock numbers by the Jonas Brothers. Because if it had, how will the world be introduced to songs like Wagon Christ’s “Lovely?” While the track itself is pretty awesome I have never forgotten its video. Whatever world these ladies live in seems like it would be an awesome place to visit. That is, as long as you never have to shop with them.
