“Rooftop Hip-Hop” – Love music and want to dance like you belong in a music video? This one-hour class will build your confidence in the fundamentals of hip hop dance like popping, breaking, gliding, sliding, locking and more. Appropriate for all ages and dance levels.
Classes begin July 11: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturdays (weekly).
Fee: $10 ($5 for Seniors/Youth with valid I.D)
“Ballroom for Beginners”: Do you want to be fierce, fun & fabulous on the dance-floor? “workOUT” with “Ballroom for Beginners”, offers a different dance each week. Competitive Ballroom dancer & instructor Steve Nasshan will teach the basic steps so you can add fun, romance and excitement to your life! It is a delightful hobby for couples to share and a fast, safe way for singles to meet potential friends and partners. Come by yourself or bring a partner.
Classes begin July 7: 10am-11am Tuesdays (weekly) and 7PM-8PM Sundays (weekly). Fee: $10 ($5 for Seniors/Youth with valid I.D.).
Pilates – Pilate’s instructor Jeremy Brown focuses on core strength as the powerhouse of the body. Pilates overall benefits are numerous and include: relief of pain due to muscle imbalance; improved posture and bio-mechanical function; greater muscle length and tone; increased strength and flexibility; enhanced body-mind awareness and performance; greater sense of well being and energy. Appropriate for all ages and dance levels.
Classes begin July 7: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Tuesdays (weekly) and 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM Fridays (weekly). Fee: $10 ($5 for Seniors/Youth with valid I.D.).
“Queer Spirit Chicago Drop-In Guided Meditation” – a weekly guided meditation designed to help you clear negative energy, create a stronger sense of grounding and bring in more of your unique life force. Suited for both beginners and experienced spiritual seekers. Each week will focus on a new topic or concept (Attend any or all sessions) .
Classes are currently available 11:00 AM-11:45 AM, Mondays (weekly) & 6:00 PM-7:15 PM, Tuesdays (weekly). (ongoing)
