Pre-transformation, of course - turning him into a pretty blond human at the end was such a cop out. (Beast was my always favourite X-Man, too... Trend?) This may be a bit of ret-con bias, since I really like the Broadway musical (fag), and am a fan of the actor who played the Beast (faaag). 

Hmm... Beast (the X-Man) probably has the edge, but it&#039;s still a toss up.</description>
