Greetings all! Yikes! Sorry about the delay this week… Here are a few goings-on between now and July 9th.  As always, send any suggestions to slc@thenewgay.net.

Saturday

• Support local businesses and celebrate sustainable living by attending the Downtown Farmers’ Market/Art and Craft Market.  Over 250 vendors will be at Pioneer Park for the event.  Details: 200 S 300 W, Salt Lake City.  For additional information: click here.  8 am to 1 pm, recurring every Saturday between June 13 and October 17th.

Sunday

TNG SLC and Queer Village present Body Works, a FREE class for those interested in a blend of toning, cardio and yoga exercises.  These classes will focus on core training and on strengthening the muscles needed for posture and balance.  The first of five classes, this week’s class will meet at 1 pm at the Main LibraryDetails: 400 S 210 E, Salt Lake City in Conference Room B.  Please bring water, a towel, and a fitness mat.  For additional information, write slc@thenewgay.net.

• Catch more local goods and services from area farmers and entrepreneurs at the People’s MarketDetails: International Peace Garden, 1060 S 900 W.  10 am to 3 pm.  Recurs every Sunday from June 14 until October 25.

Monday
• Blues musician and son of legendary John Lee Hooker, John Lee Hooker, Jr. performs the first of two nights at the Sun and Moon Café.  Tickets are $22 and require a dinner reservation.  Details:  5195 Emigration Canyon, Salt Lake City.  For additional information, visit the Sun and Moon Café web site.

Tuesday
