Next Tuesday, June 16th, The New Gay will be working with the International Gay and Lesbian Footballers Association (IGLFA) to throw a dance party at Town. IGLFA’s world championships will be held in DC from June 14 to 21st, which means that athletically-minded men and women will be coming in from all over the world to play soccer and enjoy the capital, and we’ll have them all in one place for a party DJ’d by me (Zack from Homo/Sonic.) Its rare that men and women from such divergent locations get to come together and share their perspectives. Combine this with quality dance music from all the represented countries and you have an event that could really be a lot of fun.
The party will be held on Tuesday, June 16th, at Town Danceboutique, (2009 8th St., NW.) It is an 18+ event open from 9 – 2. There will be $2 rail vodka drinks from 9 – 11. Cover is $5. Hope to see you there!
