The Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington presents their next series of concerts this weekend. While their concerts typically have a central programming theme, this performance will go one step further. GMCW will perform the short rock opera Through A Glass, Darkly, featuring the music and lyrics of Michael Shaieb. (The piece will serve as the concert’s second half; the first half features music showcasing different aspects of friendship).

Produced with support from the DC Crystal Meth Working Group, Through A Glass, Darkly tells a story of addiction and its destructive effects through a rock/eletronica/club score. More than a concert experience, this mini-musical features a full set and lighting with plenty of choreography.

Performances are Saturday, June 6th at 8pm and Sunday, June 7th, at 3pm at GW’s Lisner Auditorium. For tickets, please call 202-293-1548 or click here.
