Washington DC: 6/27 – CRACK @ Town Danceboutique
Event Details: 6/27 - CRACK @ Town Danceboutique - :
CRACK, the low budget mess of stage and screen, returns for another live installment of scandalous performances, intentionally sophomoric drag, and questionably artistic mixed media seen nowhere else in the District of Columbia. Get ready for their new domestically blissful, yet still outrageous, variety show CRACK: Suburbia…There Goes the Neighborhood.
The notorious host of CRACK, the drag queen known as Summer Camp (aka Shea Van Horn), finds herself at home in the suburbs where she hosts a cadre of CRACK performers including co-founders Chris Farris and Karl Jones in an assortment of not-so-bucolic situations. She is the epitome of “desperate,” and this housewife will do anything to dazzle her audience. As expected, the show will include shocking videos, live music, off-the-wall drag performances, singing, dancing, and other offensive acts. Like suburban sprawl, this new CRACK show creeps further up the East coast, bringing you performers not only from Washington – but also Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York City and the we expect to pack them in having sold out the 500-seat capacity venue at the last show, CRACK: Journey to Uranus.
