While You Were Waiting for Doomsday

America may be in a permanent downward spiral as our financial structure tumbles, pigs infect the masses, and that duct tape keeping Joe Biden’s mouth shut finally gives way. But fear not! The New Gay wants to keep you busy whilst you await the End of Times.
Our mission here is to serve as a forum for your alternative queer ideas and events. It’s a task that we can’t complete alone – we need your help to get there. Do you have thoughts about politics, society, or culture to share? Do you like a band or film or book that you never see covered? Do you have a funny anecdote, coming out story, or something to get off your chest, and your dog is tired of listening?
Write it up and send it our way. If you’re not seeing it here, it’s not because we don’t want it covered, it’s because you haven’t written it for us yet! Just check out our guidelines page for some tips and pointers, and then send your stuff to submit@thenewgay.net.

Are these constant calls for submissions because all of your writers are leaving?
Can’t count how many people I’ve heard with the same complaint: it’s just not the old TNG anymore. Prettier and better organized site, maybe, but the submissions are now going downhill.
Last call for submissions went up 3 weeks ago, which is the schedule we try to keep with them. As I wrote above, if you want to see something, write it. As a community, our content can only be as good as the people in it.
Do I detect a note of defensiveness there? I suppose when most of the serious writers and most of the women have left, there’s not much left but defensiveness to fall back on.
I don’t read any defensiveness here, just facts. A. Nolder, if you have something substantive to contribute, please send them a post.
