Poetry: Thursday Poem: I Never Told You
Tags: Thursday Poem
TNG reader Mike B. submits this poem, the sixth in a Thursday series. Illustration by Ryan Blomberg.
I wrote this after something more than a random hookup, but something less than a date. All of a sudden in the middle of everything, I looked at his face and he looked absolutely different, almost like a new person, and I knew I would never forget that moment. And I never have.
I Never Told You
I never told you that you were beautiful
Only because I was shocked to learn it myself
And didn’t want to spoil things
By saying it out loud.
