Hello, Chicago!

Event Details: Hello, Chicago! - :

chicago_skyline_silverbean_jasongohlkus_credit2It is with further great pleasure that I can announce that TNG is branching out to Chicago! TNG reader Adam (not Adam Isn’t Here) has begun to sow the seeds of alternative queer events and ideas in the heart of the midwest.  While he’s gathering up steam, check out the following events he’s offered up of interest to TNG readership in Chicagoland.

TNG Organization in Chicago

Are you a LGTBQ person that:

* Has a broader musical taste than just dance music?

* Enjoys attending events that take place outside of gay bars that have cultural and/or social meanings?

* Tends to be free-thinking, curious, and opinionated?

* Takes an interest in more than just fashion, celebrity, body worship, and other superficial concerns?

* Wants to connect with others like themselves?

* Can write well about LGBTQ events, issues, and stories from a subjective and objective perspective and actually know the difference?

Then you should help jumpstart the Chicago region of The New Gay.  It is originally a Washington DC website for L/G/B/T/Q people whose interests extend beyond the focus of mainstream gay culture that is being branched out and extended to the Chicago area. We write about music, local events, ideas, local and national news (gay & non-gay), and gay life from a New Gay perspective. We also encourage community participation by allowing anyone to submit their own ideas and opinions. We are looking for articulate writers and leaders that would like to be involved in the creation of The New Gay Chicago. For more information email Adam.

Why can I not stop picturing Ferris Bueller lip-synking “Danke Shoen” in downtown Chicago?
